Software Engineer

Financial Planning and Analysis

• Develop and maintain sophisticated financial models to support robust forecasting, budgeting, and long-range planning processes.
• Execute in-depth quantitative analysis of business unit performance, unit economics, and profitability to uncover key trends and deliver actionable insights.
• Translate complex datasets into clear, concise financial narratives and presentations for senior leadership and key stakeholders.

iOS Developer

• Partner with the CFO to formulate, communicate, and drive Xapo's financial strategy, presenting insights and recommendations to senior management and the Board.
• Lead the core financial planning processes, including forecasting, scenario modeling, and long-range strategic planning.
• Design and own the executive-level reporting frameworks to monitor business performance, connecting financial results to strategic KPIs and operational drivers.
• Lead strategic OPEX management and the annual budgeting cycle, with a focus on optimizing resource allocation to drive growth. This includes owning the commercial evaluation of vendor spend and modeling variable costs in technology-driven departments (e.g., engineering bonuses, performance marketing).
• Serve as a critical business partner to functional leaders, providing deep financial analysis and data-driven insights that challenge assumptions and unlock growth opportunities.
• Lead the development and maintenance of sophisticated financial models to support strategic initiatives, new product launches, and risk assessments.

Security Engineer

• Architect, implement, and maintain cloud security controls across AWS and GCP to protect our infrastructure, applications, and data.
• Take full ownership of security projects, driving them from initial concept through development, testing, and deployment.
• Review, write and deploy infrastructure-as-code (IaC) security solutions using Terraform.
• Continuously assess cloud environments using Cloud Security Posture Management (CSPM) platforms like Wiz.
• Support monitoring, detection, and response for cloud threats by integrating with tools such as AWS GuardDuty, Security Hub, and GCP Security Command Center.
• Participate actively in incident response and forensic analysis for cloud-related security events.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to perform threat modeling and secure architecture reviews for new services and infrastructure changes.
• Help reinforce a security-first culture by sharing best practices and participating in awareness initiatives.

Principal Cloud Security Engineer

• Month-End Reporting: Own the preparation of lead schedules and reconciliations for key balance sheet accounts.
• Journal Management: Prepare and post journals ranging from standard accruals to complex financial asset adjustments.
• Daily Financial Operations: Manage the end-to-end lifecycle of corporate expenses and payables.
• Intercompany & Multi-Entity Oversight: Reconcile intercompany transactions across various global entities.
• Regulatory & Compliance Support: Collate data and prepare periodic returns for financial regulators, specifically focusing on Gibraltar (GFSC) and UK requirements.
• Tax & Statutory Compliance Support: Prepare data for statutory tax requirements.
• Audit Support: Act as a key point of contact during internal and external audits.
