Plan, coordinate, and oversee the commissioning process for all systems and equipment within a project
Develop and oversee the full scope commissioning program for a High Temperature Gas-Cooled Reactor technology or Fuel Manufacturing Facility
Develop an Initial Test Plan (ITP), including pre-operational and startup procedures, processes and guidelines
Lead and manage the full commissioning lifecycle from pre-commissioning to plant turnover, ensuring alignment with project milestones and regulatory requirements
Collaborate closely with engineering and design teams to ensure design packages are commissioning-ready and reflect operational functionality
Interface with construction planning to coordinate construction completion and system readiness for turnover
Develop and maintain the commissioning schedule and integrate it with the overall project schedule
Identify staffing needs for commissioning, lead recruiting, onboarding, and training of site commissioning personnel
Serve as the primary liaison between the commissioning team, construction, design engineering, and the owner's team
Manage the system turnover process, including documentation, testing verification, and final acceptance by the owner
Hire, train, and manage staff who support the commissioning activities
Perform other duties as assigned by manager
Requirements
High school diploma required
Typically, ten years of experience in commissioning and testing of industrial facilities
Strong knowledge of system testing, startup protocols, and regulatory compliance standards
Experience developing test plans and procedures, and leading system walkdowns and readiness reviews
Experience in planning and executing large-scale commissioning programs
Ability to hire, train, and manage staff for commissioning activities
