About the role
- Use proprietary software applications to provide input/labels on defined projects.
- Support and ensure the delivery of high-quality curated data.
- Support and contribute to training of new tasks, collaborating closely with technical staff to develop and implement initiatives/technologies.
- Interact with technical staff to help improve the design of efficient annotation tools.
- Regularly interpret, analyze, and execute tasks based on given instructions.
- Contribute to selecting complex problems where expertise can drive improvements in model performance.
- Refine annotation tools and workflows.
Requirements
- Must possess a Master's or PhD in electrical or computer engineering, or a highly-related field.
- Proficiency in reading and writing, both in informal and professional English.
- Strong ability to navigate various information resources, databases, and online resources.
- Outstanding communication, interpersonal, analytical, and organizational capabilities.
- Solid reading comprehension skills and capacity to exercise autonomous judgment with limited data/material.
- Strong passion for and commitment to technological advancements and innovation.
- Preferred: PhD in electrical or computer engineering.
- Preferred: Substantial professional experience working on real-world problems in this domain.
- Preferred: At least one publication in a reputable journal or outlet.
- Preferred: Previous AI Tutoring experience.
- Preferred: Teaching experience (professor, teacher, or tutor).
- Preferred: Experience in technical writing, journalism, or professional writing.
- Professional background as an electrical or computer engineer.
- Work authorization: unable to hire in Wyoming and Illinois; no visa sponsorship provided.
- Technical requirements: computer must be a Chromebook, Mac with MacOS 11.0 or later, or Windows 10 or later.
- Must own and have reliable access to a smartphone.
- Availability: work 9:00am - 5:30pm PST during first two weeks of training and 9:00am - 5:30pm in own timezone thereafter.
