About the role
- Develop various electrical subsystems used in Lime vehicles and parking infrastructure, including system architecture definition and component selection, schematic capture, PCBA layout, board bring-up, and test
- Collaborate with mechanical, firmware, and product teams to ensure seamless integration of electrical systems
- Collaborate on component selection and own design of various RF modules, including antenna design and optimization
- Debug & troubleshoot complex electrical problems and propose innovative solutions
- Become an expert in Lime’s core technologies and bring the latest technologies to your area of focus
- Bring documentation best practices to develop design guidelines, testing protocols, and test reports
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to professional development of the team
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
- 7+ years of industry experience as an Electrical Engineer, seeing products through every phase of the development cycle
- Proficient in PCB design, production, and testing
- Strong understanding of analog and digital circuit design, power systems, and embedded systems
- Experience with schematic capture, PCBA layout, and board bring-up
- Experience designing and integrating RF modules, including antenna design and optimization
- Self-starter with excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, strong communication skills, and ability to collaborate in a multidisciplinary team
- Must currently live in San Francisco or within a reasonable commuting distance (role requires 2-3 days in San Francisco office)
- Willingness to travel occasionally domestic or international to support manufacturing or field failures
- Preferred: Experience developing RF protocols (LTE, WiFi, Bluetooth, NFC)
- Preferred: Proficient in Altium Designer
- Preferred: Experience working with JDM/ODM and on remote/distributed teams
- Preferred: Experience with hardware-in-the-loop testing
