About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Own overall sales performance and execution within the state, including revenue growth, market share, and profitability
  • Develop and lead strategic sales plans aligned with company objectives and evolving market conditions
  • Drive distribution, in-store presence, and customer experience
  • Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing sales team
  • Establish expectations, performance standards, and development plans
  • Maintain a strong field presence, spending 60–80% of time in market
  • Build and maintain strategic relationships with key accounts, partners, and stakeholders
  • Oversee account strategy and execution for long-term growth and brand positioning
  • Serve as senior point of contact for critical customer needs and opportunities
  • Partner with Distribution, Operations, Finance, and Marketing teams
  • Support planning, forecasting, and resource allocation
  • Ensure adherence to company standards, processes, and regulatory requirements
  • Use data and market insights to inform decisions and communicate performance to leadership
  • Identify opportunities, risks, and market trends and translate them into actionable strategies
  • Take on additional leadership responsibilities and strategic initiatives as the business evolves

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 7+ years of direct sales, sales operations, or related experience, including CPG and wholesaler experience
  • Progressive sales experience or multi-state/regional leadership preferred
  • Strong understanding of B2B sales, distributor models, and regulated markets; cannabis or CPG strongly preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to develop talent, improve execution, and drive results across diverse markets
  • Strong analytical, communication, and decision-making skills
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced, evolving organization with significant travel
  • Experience working with a strong sense of urgency in a team environment or independently
  • Ability to lead peers and communicate effectively across teams
  • Ability to maintain accuracy in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
  • Basic math skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division
  • Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information professionally and discreetly
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and work management systems such as Slack, Jira, or similar platforms
  • Ability to travel occasionally between company buildings or work sites
  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • Must successfully complete a pre-employment background check, where permitted by law
  • Must obtain and maintain all licenses, permits, certifications, or registrations required by applicable laws and regulations
  • ServSafe Certification or Food Handler's Card preferred, where applicable
  • Compliance with company safety, sanitation, quality, and food safety policies
  • Must be willing to work a flexible schedule
