About the role
- Architect and deploy secure, high-performance network solutions
- Keep LANs running smoothly with hands-on administration and troubleshooting
- Monitor and optimize dataflow to reduce latency and boost throughput
- Capture and analyze network performance data to drive improvements
- Configure and integrate front-end and back-end systems for seamless communication
- Collaborate on mission-driven network designs and architecture
- Translate performance metrics into actionable system requirements
- Design, build, and fine-tune the backbone of mission-critical systems in secure, high-stakes environments
Requirements
- TS/SCI with agency appropriate polygraph
- United States Citizenship required
- Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Assurance, Information Security Systems Engineering, or a related field, plus 10 years of professional experience in Network Engineering support and training
- OR Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or a related field, plus 12 years of relevant experience
- OR No degree, but 16 years of relevant Network Engineering experience, including a recognized industry certification such as: Juniper Certification Tracks (e.g., Automation & DevOps, Cloud, Data Center, Design, Enterprise Routing & Switching, Junos Security, Service Provider Routing & Switching), Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), Arista Configuration Essentials
- Must hold an Information Assurance Technical (IAT) Level I certification
- Experience in IC/mission-critical environments (desired)
- Familiarity with enterprise-scale architecture and secure communications (desired)
- Strong troubleshooting instincts and clear, concise documentation and communication skills (desired)
