About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Responsible for working with a team to plan, implement, and evaluate youth entrepreneurship and workforce development programs
  • Responsible for significant statewide administrative responsibilities including program coordination, evaluation, and finance
  • Review, maintain, and/or develop program materials as needed for outreach efforts
  • Develop and/or revise program implementation guides to be shared with organizations delivering Extension developed efforts
  • Establish and maintain positive collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Facilitate communication with partner within West Virginia and across the U.S. to support partner planning/development of shared efforts
  • Foster collaboration among existing Extension programs to ensure alignment with ongoing initiatives
  • Coordinate regular project team meetings to facilitate communication among Extension faculty/staff
  • Support the implementation of mini-grant funded pilot projects with partnering states through regular communication with partners and troubleshooting/problem solving
  • Maintain records of program activities, successes, and challenges to inform future program development
  • Coordinate the completion of partner memorandums of agreement and processing of invoice payments for community grants and pilot project support as needed
  • Support youth focused community development projects with additional implementation tasks as needed
  • Track and maintain program data to ensure thorough and accurate program evaluation
  • Facilitate communication with partners to collect data
  • Organize and maintain surveys, focus group discussion template, and other documents for use by program partners
  • Work closely with project teams to analyze program evaluation data
  • Develop program reports to share both internally and with program partners
  • Support the development of required reports for private and public funders

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field required
  • A minimum of at least one (1) year of experience involving:
  • Working with youth or young adults
  • Working in a higher education setting
  • Familiarity with youth workforce development, entrepreneurship education, or similar preferred
  • Experience with financial systems in a higher education setting, or similar preferred
  • Required proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office (Word, Powerpoint, Excel), Canva, and other standard platforms
  • Any equivalent combination of related education and/or experience will be considered. All qualifications must be met by the time of employment.
