About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Creating social media and digital content.
  • Actively engage on social media accounts to enhance reputation and build relationships with key audiences.
  • Shoot and edit high-quality videos and photographs for social media and other marketing/branding efforts.
  • Architect, build, and manage responsive HTML emails.
  • Produce comprehensive monthly and quarterly web and social analytic reports.
  • Leverage competitive intelligence and reporting to drive future strategy.
  • Manage daily operations across all social media platforms.
  • Work closely with the Health Sciences Communications and Marketing team and across units.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree in journalism, communications, public relations, English, or a related field required.
  • A minimum of two (2) years of experience in a combination of the following: Social media management, Marketing, Digital content creation.
  • Professional proficiency in HTML email design, as well as audio, video, and photography production experience preferred.
  • Experience in an academic medical center or higher education preferred.
  • Relational Skill: Skill in establishing and maintaining cooperative working relationships with faculty, staff, students, and diverse groups across the University and WVU Medicine.
  • Valid driver’s license as local and regional travel may be required.
