About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Participate in the development, coordination, monitoring, and implementation of research strategies for clinical trials
  • Perform documentation, tracking, data abstraction and collection
  • Work with Pharm D on dosage and titration of study drug
  • Manage drug treatment schedules
  • Educate nurses regarding studies/trials with participating children
  • Attend clinical coordinator meetings
  • Assure that patient visits are scheduled accordingly
  • Collaborate with principal investigators to resolve implementation problems
  • Educate patients and/or family members about study requirements
  • Participate in recruitment of potential protocols for activation
  • Review and discuss clinical procedures within the unit with new employees

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's Degree in an allied health discipline or related medical field
  • A minimum of three (3) years of experience working in a clinical setting and/or experience working in clinical trials
  • Excellent time and project management skills
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and personnel
  • Knowledge of many different and unrelated processes and methods related to Pediatric clinical trials
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules and procedure manuals
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups
