About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Participate in the development, coordination, monitoring, and implementation of research strategies for clinical trials
- Perform documentation, tracking, data abstraction and collection
- Work with Pharm D on dosage and titration of study drug
- Manage drug treatment schedules
- Educate nurses regarding studies/trials with participating children
- Attend clinical coordinator meetings
- Assure that patient visits are scheduled accordingly
- Collaborate with principal investigators to resolve implementation problems
- Educate patients and/or family members about study requirements
- Participate in recruitment of potential protocols for activation
- Review and discuss clinical procedures within the unit with new employees
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's Degree in an allied health discipline or related medical field
- A minimum of three (3) years of experience working in a clinical setting and/or experience working in clinical trials
- Excellent time and project management skills
- Excellent customer service skills
- Ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and personnel
- Knowledge of many different and unrelated processes and methods related to Pediatric clinical trials
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules and procedure manuals
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
- Ability to speak effectively before groups
