About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Lead the installation, configuration, and maintenance of complex network hardware and software components, including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless systems.
Oversee the setup and maintenance of local area networks (LANs) and wide area networks (WANs).
Diagnose and resolve advanced network issues, utilizing in-depth knowledge of network protocols, routing, and switching.
Utilize advanced network monitoring tools to ensure network performance, reliability, and security.
Lead network-related projects, such as network upgrades, migrations, and new technology implementations.
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior network technicians, sharing knowledge and best practices.
Maintain comprehensive network documentation, including diagrams, configurations, and standard operating procedures.
Implement advanced network security measures, including firewall configurations, intrusion detection systems, and access controls.
Plan and execute network changes, upgrades, and patches while minimizing disruption to users and services.

Requirements

What you’ll need

Undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of training, education, and experience in a relevant field
A minimum of four (4) years of experience involving:
Configuration and installation of Routers, Switches, Unified Communications, Wireless Access Points, and Firewalls
Experience in Internet TCP/IP protocols such as DHCP, DNS, SNMP, TELNET, FTP, WWW, SSH
Design and implementation of complex and secure LANs/WANs
Licenses/Certifications: Cisco (CCNP or higher), Juniper (JNCIS or higher), Palo Alto (PCNSA or higher), Fortigate certifications preferred.
