About the role
- Update and execute the annual plan of action for recruitment and retention of WV AHEC Rural Community Health Scholars and other student programs.
- Conduct in-person recruitment and virtual recruitment strategies for student programs, including all Scholars-eligible disciplines.
- Recommend changes to the WV AHEC Scholars manual, handbook and website for students, instructors, preceptors, and staff based on programmatic needs and changes.
- Execute strategies for program recruitment and construct materials for program marketing and promotion.
- Support WV AHEC Center Directors with respect to Scholar recruitment and communication, marketing, and promotion for WV AHEC Scholars programs.
- Liaise with statewide education institutions and health professions programs to foster collaboration and encourage program enrollment/participation.
- Maintain frequent, ongoing communication with student program participants, including Scholars.
- Assist with data collection for programs needed to complete internal and external reports and evaluations under the direction of the Program Director and with support from the Evaluation Team.
- Work with individual program participants, including Scholars, to identify career goals and connect Scholars with job opportunities in West Virginia.
- Assure Program Completers receive completion materials (certificates, cords, and digital badges) and stipends in a timely fashion.
- Develop social media calendar for all WV AHEC programs and post to social media accounts on a recurring basis.
- Travel statewide to facilitate program promotion, maintain collaborations, and cultivate new relationships.
- Prepare report components specific to HRSA designated outcome requirements as requested.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in health planning, health administration, public relations, communications, or a related field.
- A minimum of one (1) year of experience with recruitment, student services, or similar experience.
- Valid driver's license.
