About the role

  • Design strategies to carry out objectives of the WVU Retirement Benefits Program
  • Identify and address future retirement trends and issues
  • Research, calculate, forecast and generate reports regarding retirement
  • Develop and present retirement benefit educational sessions for employees
  • Administer University Retirement Programs
  • Stay updated on relevant federal, state, and local regulations pertaining to employee benefits
  • Collaborate with benefits vendors to optimize service delivery

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • A minimum of three (3) years of experience in benefit experience
  • Retirement program support preferred
  • Any equivalent combination of related education and/or experience will be considered
  • Strong competency in financial analysis, statistical analysis and spreadsheet modeling
  • Working knowledge of federal and state legal and tax considerations including HIPPA, COBRA, Medicare, and Social Security
  • Experience in analysis of different types of health & welfare, defined benefit, and defined contribution plans
