About the role
- Design strategies to carry out objectives of the WVU Retirement Benefits Program
- Identify and address future retirement trends and issues
- Research, calculate, forecast and generate reports regarding retirement
- Develop and present retirement benefit educational sessions for employees
- Administer University Retirement Programs
- Stay updated on relevant federal, state, and local regulations pertaining to employee benefits
- Collaborate with benefits vendors to optimize service delivery
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree
- A minimum of three (3) years of experience in benefit experience
- Retirement program support preferred
- Any equivalent combination of related education and/or experience will be considered
- Strong competency in financial analysis, statistical analysis and spreadsheet modeling
- Working knowledge of federal and state legal and tax considerations including HIPPA, COBRA, Medicare, and Social Security
- Experience in analysis of different types of health & welfare, defined benefit, and defined contribution plans
