About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Coordinates the facility stroke program
  • Utilizes and manages Stroke Champions on every unit related to stroke care
  • Serves as a resource to the hospital for care of stroke patients
  • Facilitates community outreach activities related to stroke awareness and education
  • Completes ongoing staff educational opportunities for all levels involved with stroke care
  • Collects and analyzes data regarding outcomes of the stroke program
  • Analyzes data, prepares reports for Stroke Performance Improvement reviews
  • Submits required data to the joint commission and other regulatory agencies
  • Evaluates effectiveness of patient teaching

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Current licensure in ONE of the following: Licensed Speech Language Pathologist, Occupational Therapist, Physical Therapist, or Licensed Practical Nurse
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification within 30 days of hire
  • One (1) year of experience in a neurology related position
