About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Support the operational efficiency of the Pharmacy Department by coordinating fiscal management activities.
  • Perform data analysis and maintain departmental statistics and reports.
  • Work with clinical pharmacists, residents, medical staff, and pharmacy administration.
  • Assure that billing procedures performed by the department are accurate and timely.
  • Coordinate with Patient Financial Services to review underpayments or denials.
  • Review medications administered that are included on the transitional pass-through list and assure accurate billing procedures are followed.
  • Assures charges governed by APC’s are handled correctly.
  • Facilitate the addition, deletion or correction of charges to the charge master as needed.
  • Maintain all the HCPCS changes and updates for Chargemaster.
  • Assure utilization of all available indigent care programs for inpatient and outpatient Administration of medications.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor degree in Information Technology, Business Management, Hospital Administration, Accounting, or Finance, or related field and two (2) years of experience in pharmacy or one (1) year of experience with financial reporting.
  • Associates degree in Information Technology, Business Management, Hospital Administration, Accounting, or Finance, or related field and Four (4) years of experience in pharmacy or Three (3) year of experience with financial reporting.
  • High School Diploma and Nationally Certified Pharmacy Technician within 15 months of hire and six (6) years’ experience in a healthcare setting or five (5) years’ experience with financial reporting or data analytics.
  • Direct experience in data analysis and/or health care planning background preferred.
  • Two (2) years of experience in a professional capacity in healthcare, preferably in Pharmacy.
