- Conducts medically prescribed physical therapy under supervision of a physical therapist
- Applies research and techniques to treat conditions limiting movement
- Determines priorities for direct/indirect patient care activities based on patient need
- Instructs patient and caregiver in treatment programs and documents instruction
- Documents all treatments as per departmental policies
Requirements
- Current or temporary physical therapy assistant licensure in applicable state
- Certification in Basic Life Support within 30 days of hire date
- One year of physical therapy assistant experience
