About the role
- Responsible for financial analysis, decision support and financial forecasting for all WVU Medicine hospital facilities.
- Leads the development and enhancement of decision support analytic tools to support strategic decisions.
- Oversees financial reporting for all signature lines.
- Ensures analytics and reporting tools are aligned with organizational business objectives to meet information needs.
- Works with leadership to ensure that reports, analyses, measures and dashboards are outcome driven.
- Oversees analytic project management, data modeling and statistical reporting.
- Plans, designs and implements financial and decision support analytic tools.
- Interacts with leadership, prepares communications and presentations. Recognized as an analytics expert.
- Leads and participates in complex data modeling.
- Provides leadership and direction to professional staff, including development and performance assessment.
- Provides leadership and support in performance improvement activities for both the department and all system hospitals.
- Works with and leads cross functional teams to analyze programs and provide strategic direction.
- Coordinates departmental operations and communicates effectively with all system CFOs.
- Provides direction, expertise, and leadership for decision support and financial analytics staff.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration with major in Accounting or Finance.
- Seven (7) years of experience in healthcare finance with a focus on decision support and financial forecasting.
- Five (5) years of management experience.
- Master’s of Business Administration (MBA) or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) preferred.
