About the role
- Lead and organize the "West" business division (location: Aachen)
- Ensure proper operation of the facilities in accordance with the requirements of the SüwV-Kom and SüwVO-Abw
- Assume overall technical responsibility for the wastewater treatment plants and special structures
- Organize operational processes and optimize operations with consideration of incurred costs
- Analyze raw material saving potentials and energy-efficient operating modes of wastewater treatment plants
- Manage the division’s budget by preparing the annual financial plan and monitoring costs
- Communicate and coordinate with various stakeholders and manage external service providers
- Provide on-call duty as required by operational needs
Requirements
- Master’s degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Energy and Environmental Engineering, Process Engineering or a comparable qualification
- Proven professional track record and relevant experience
- Leadership experience through previous responsibility for objectives, organizations and personnel
- In-depth technical knowledge of wastewater treatment, wastewater collection and wastewater transport
- SAP skills desirable
- High level of commitment and a conceptual, structured way of working
- Strong communication skills, sound judgement, self-confidence and the ability to inspire others
- High social competence and empathy, combined with a respectful leadership style
- Valid Class B driving licence
