About the role

  • - Take ownership of certain game features such as Weapons, Abilities etc.
  • - Working closely with the Audio and Design teams to ensure audio meet the intended vision, mechanics, narrative and quality.
  • - Create and implement high quality audio assets within the game engine, ensuring optimal performance across all platforms.
  • - Conduct audio testing and iteration based on feedback, ensuring that the final output meets the project’s quality standards.
  • - Maintain an organised library of sound assets and documentation for audio workflows.
  • - Maintain a prioritised backlog with production.
  • - Adhere to the client’s audio guidelines and practices.

Requirements

  • - Proven experience as an Audio Designer or a similar role in the gaming industry.
  • - Strong proficiency with digital audio workstations (DAWs) and sound design tools (e.g., Pro Tools, Wwise, FMOD, Reaper).
  • - In-depth understanding of audio processing techniques and best practices for game audio integration.
  • - Ability to create compelling soundscapes that enhance player immersion. An interest or talent for weapon audio would be a plus!
  • - Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • - A portfolio showcasing a range of audio work effectively representing your skills in sound design and implementation.
  • - Experience with adaptive audio systems and implementation within game engines (e.g., Unreal Engine, Unity).
