About the role

  • Wunderkind is a performance marketing solution that uses AI and data to help brands acquire and retain customers through personalized messages across websites, email, text, and ads, driving revenue.
  • Build on North America growth as Director of Business Development to support Wunderkind's evolution into a SaaS-focused provider.
  • Report to the AVP of Sales and Partnerships; spearhead new business, manage deal flow, and mentor a dedicated Business Development Associate.
  • Focus on retail and ecommerce clients (650+ retailers globally); engage stakeholders at all levels and align on business objectives and KPIs.
  • Key responsibilities: develop and execute business development strategy; communicate value proposition; build strategic partnerships; perform market research and analysis; own full sales cycle and pipeline management.

Requirements

  • Proven Track Record: 5+ years of business development, sales, or strategic partnerships experience with a proven history of closing high-value deals and delivering revenue growth.
  • Entrepreneurial Spirit: You thrive in a fast-paced, unstructured environment and take ownership of your success.
  • Strong Negotiator & Communicator: Exceptional ability to build relationships, negotiate contracts, and communicate the value proposition effectively.
  • Strategic Thinker: Capable of seeing the bigger picture while diving deep into details when necessary.
  • Personality: Proactive hunter with a consultative approach.
  • Industry Knowledge: Solid understanding of the ecommerce market and its key players, trends, and opportunities.
