About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Perform necessary calculations or actuarial analysis on a wide variety of retirement projects
  • Participate in actuarial valuation work for defined benefit and defined contribution pension plans

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Progress towards a Bachelor’s degree in actuarial science, math or statistics
  • Strong academic record with a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or over
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in French and English
  • Aptitude to balance and prioritize multiple projects in a fast-paced work environment
  • Microsoft Office skills, particularly in Excel
  • Bilingualism in French and English required to provide services and interact with stakeholders in Canada
  • Applications accepted from Université de Montréal, UQAM, and Université Laval starting August 26th
  • Employment-based non-immigrant visa sponsorship and/or assistance is not offered
  • Actuarial credentials (ACIA, FCIA and/or ASA, FSA) are preferred
