About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Perform necessary calculations or actuarial analysis on a wide variety of retirement projects
Participate in actuarial valuation work for defined benefit and defined contribution pension plans
Potentially contribute to investment and risk management projects
Participate in daily meetings with colleagues from the Retirement team
Create client presentations
Assist with team preparation and potentially attend client meetings
Collaborate with colleagues and clients across different work styles
Participate on teams to find and implement solutions for clients

Requirements

What you’ll need

Progress towards a Bachelor’s degree in actuarial science, math or statistics
Strong academic record with a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or over
Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
Excellent oral and written communication skills in French and English
Aptitude to balance and prioritize multiple projects in a fast-paced work environment
Microsoft Office skills, particularly in Excel
Bilingualism in French and English required to provide services and interact with stakeholders in Canada
Applications accepted from Université de Montréal, UQAM, and Université Laval starting August 26th
Employment-based non-immigrant visa sponsorship and/or assistance is not offered
Actuarial credentials (ACIA, FCIA and/or ASA, FSA) are preferred
