About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Perform necessary calculations or actuarial analysis on a wide variety of retirement projects
- Participate in actuarial valuation work for defined benefit and defined contribution pension plans
- Potentially contribute to investment and risk management projects
- Participate in daily meetings with colleagues from the Retirement team
- Create client presentations
- Assist with team preparation and potentially attend client meetings
- Collaborate with colleagues and clients across different work styles
- Participate on teams to find and implement solutions for clients
Requirements
What you’ll need- Progress towards a Bachelor’s degree in actuarial science, math or statistics
- Strong academic record with a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or over
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in French and English
- Aptitude to balance and prioritize multiple projects in a fast-paced work environment
- Microsoft Office skills, particularly in Excel
- Bilingualism in French and English required to provide services and interact with stakeholders in Canada
- Applications accepted from Université de Montréal, UQAM, and Université Laval starting August 26th
- Employment-based non-immigrant visa sponsorship and/or assistance is not offered
- Actuarial credentials (ACIA, FCIA and/or ASA, FSA) are preferred
