About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Perform routine and recurring plan administration tasks for clients' defined benefit plans, including benefit calculations and annual data updates
- Assist with preparation of benefit statements
- Complete tasks cooperatively with team members to ensure unified service delivery
- Gain a thorough understanding of pension plan administration
- Follow and update documentation materials to maintain complete, accurate work papers and audit trails
- Learn and use Excellence tools and concepts for efficient, quality output and service delivery
- Adhere to plan documents and government regulations when administering plans
- Participate in team meetings and training activities
- Assist with project work and other ad hoc client support services under the supervision of senior analysts
- Provide general administration support and basic pension administration tasks
Requirements
What you’ll need- Current university student enrolled in a program with heavy emphasis on mathematics, actuarial studies, statistics, economics, finance, or another major with significant quantitative coursework
- Preference for 3rd year students
- Work experience demonstrating strong technical and/or client service skills is a plus
- Passion for solving problems and sharing solutions
- Ability to work independently and cooperatively in a close team environment
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Fully bilingual in French and English; Quebec only
- Excellent Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel
