About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead the firm’s enterprise artificial intelligence platform function
- Administer, maintain, secure and scale firm-wide AI platforms
- Manage user provisioning, licensing, roles and permissions across chat-based, agentic and developer-facing tools
- Own the AI platform roadmap and coordinate upgrades, feature rollouts, integrations and configuration changes
- Manage AI platform vendors, contracts, renewals, escalations and service-level commitments
- Triage and resolve platform access, performance and functionality issues
- Support onboarding, training and adoption programs for business professionals, cross-functional teams, developers and engineers
- Create documentation, playbooks and best-practice guidance
- Identify high-value AI use cases and drive enterprise adoption
- Establish feedback channels and user-support processes
- Own the AI platform budget and report on costs, variances and forecasts
- Develop usage analytics and reporting dashboards covering adoption, utilization, cost-per-user and ROI
- Analyze usage trends and recommend license optimization and platform scaling
- Develop cost-allocation models and support annual budgeting and forecasting
- Enforce AI usage policies, data-handling guidelines and access controls
- Coordinate AI feature, platform and policy rollouts
- Align AI initiatives with the broader technology roadmap and project portfolio
- Integrate AI platforms with the firm’s data and application ecosystem
- Maintain compliance with firm policies, regulatory requirements and client-driven requirements
- Support audits, security reviews and risk assessments
- Manage, mentor and support the AI Systems team
- Lead project planning, execution, intake triage, prioritization, testing, training, documentation and skill development
- Set team goals and priorities with IT and firm stakeholders
- Manage AI-related invoices, bill payments and communications
Requirements
What you’ll need- 7+ years of experience managing enterprise technology platforms, SaaS applications, or AI/ML systems
- 2+ years directly managing a team
- Proven experience leading platform adoption, governance and support functions for a large, enterprise-scale organization
- BS and/or graduate degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration or equivalent discipline, or equivalent practical experience
- Experience managing technology budgets, vendor relationships and usage analytics/reporting
- Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to communicate clearly with technical and non-technical audiences
- Excellent writing and oral presentation skills
- Experience administering enterprise SaaS or cloud-based platforms at scale, including user provisioning, licensing, configuration and lifecycle management
- Working knowledge of leading generative AI platforms and large language model tools
- Strong analytical skills and experience building usage dashboards, spend reports and adoption metrics
- Experience developing and managing technology budgets, vendor contracts and service-level agreements
- Experience building or supporting intake and triage processes
- Ability to work effectively with cross-functional IT and administrative teams, including Innovation, IT, Marketing, KM, HR and Finance
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information discreetly and securely
- Familiarity with data privacy, information security and responsible-AI governance principles, including model risk, data residency and access controls
- Law firm or professional-services experience is a plus
