About the role
- Support stakeholder discussions to understand business needs and document requirements.
- Assist in translating business needs into user stories or technical requirements using Agile or Waterfall approaches.
- Help develop functional specifications, process flows, and acceptance criteria.
- Collaborate with IT teams to understand technical options and constraints.
- Assist in documenting current-state processes, data flows, and system interactions.
- Support analysis of system inputs/outputs, dependencies, and basic performance findings.
- Help with data mapping, schema documentation, and low-complexity enhancements.
- Support testing and validation of system changes.
- Assist in drafting system, integration, and data flow documentation.
- Create and validate workflow diagrams under supervision.
- Support UI wireframes and basic interface/API documentation.
- Ensure alignment of requirements with business and technical objectives.
- Create and update Epics, Features, and User Stories in Azure DevOps, Copado, or Jira.
- Maintain acceptance criteria, status updates, and traceability.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, backlog grooming, and retrospectives.
- Execute predefined test cases and log defects.
- Assist with UAT and validation of business requirements.
- Support implementation tracking, deployment readiness, and integration validation.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field or equivalent years of education and/or experience.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Business Systems Analyst.
- Experience supporting system integrations and data flow requirements.
- Experience working in both Agile and Waterfall frameworks.
- Ability to obtain CCBA and/or PMI‑PBA certification.
- Experience using Azure DevOps or similar tools for work item and backlog management.
- Familiarity with Copado and JIRA is a plus.
- Experience in data mapping, data transformation, and integrating multiple data sources.
- Knowledge of SDLC and project delivery methodologies.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.
- Ability to collaborate across business and technology teams to deliver aligned solutions.
