About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Responsible for maintaining the whole production process, including change control and incident response.
  • Expertise in provisioning server/vm as per requirement
  • Expert in troubleshooting server, virtualization, and network connectivity issues.
  • Expert with Monitoring & Visualization using various tools, like Prometheus & Grafana.
  • Expert at AWS focused Cloud Engineering (EC2, S3, VPC, IAM, CloudFormation, CloudWatch, Route 53).
  • Virtualization and cloud infrastructure design and implementation (Proxmox VE, KVM).
  • Build and maintain infrastructure as code to provision infrastructure using several tools: Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation, Jenkins, Helm, Puppet, Packer.
  • Support Juniper network devices and F5 load balancers in collaboration with the infrastructure and networking teams.
  • Assist with troubleshooting datacenter networking components such as switching, routing, VLANs, and load balancing.
  • Build and support network (VPC/ VPN), encryption, certificates, and other AWS core infrastructure.
  • Troubleshoot infrastructure issues and collaborate with support specialists and Cloud Operations / SRE.
  • Help evaluate emerging Cloud and DevOps technologies continually to identify opportunities, trends, and best practices to strengthen development practices.
  • Collaborate with and mentor team members within the Core Infrastructure team in Germany and UK.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
  • 5+ years recent experience managing and automating infrastructure in AWS using Infrastructure as Code (CloudFormation, Terraform, etc.)
  • Strong understanding and experience with AWS networking (VPC, VPN), encryption, certificates
  • Strong understanding and experience with AWS security (IAM, SSO, Security Groups, KMS, CloudHSM, etc..), encryption at rest, encryption in transit.
  • Strong understand of EC2 and advanced Linux skills to help update, support, and troubleshoot Linux OS issues.
  • Experience or familiarity with F5 load balancing technologies is a plus.
  • Experience or familiarity with Juniper networking platforms is a plus.
  • Experience with open-source networking tools such as HAProxy, Nginx, or Keepalived is a plus.
  • Experience with security tooling implementation and management. Elastic SIEM, Crowdstrike, Guard Duty, or similar
  • Strong understanding of AWS SysOps (System Manager, Patching, AWS Backups, WAF, sftp, etc.)
  • Experience securing containerized workloads in the cloud (AWS EKS a plus)
  • Strong understanding of AWS KMS. CloudHSM experience is a plus.
  • Experience in the following: AWS (RDS, EFS, EKS, ECS, Elastic cache, VPC), Datadog, Antivirus software, SIEM and CSPM related security software.
  • Postgres or any SQL database experience.
  • Experience with Akamai (WAF / Security, DNS, Zero Trust) is a plus.
  • Experience using Ansible.
  • Experience using and managing Git (GitLab a plus), CI/CD pipelines (eg: Jenkins, GitLab CI)
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
