About the role

  • Identify and pursue strategic partnership, business development, and individual project opportunities
  • Lead a team performing bridge design and other structural design for various clients
  • Use innovative approaches to provide clients with efficient designs focused on quality
  • Lead contract negotiations and prepare detailed scope of services, estimate fees and establish budgets for projects
  • Manage strategic pursuits and projects
  • Provide team management and program leadership including talent acquisition and staff development
  • Monitor backlog, pipeline and opportunity management within a CRM environment
  • Analyze financial performance and direct activities to improve performance results

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, or comparable field
  • Minimum of 10 years’ work experience of bridge and related structural design
  • Registration as a Professional Engineer in the State of Colorado
  • Familiarity with LRFD design procedures
  • Proficiency in bridge design software and calculation software such as Microsoft Excel or MathCAD
  • Basic drawing skills in either Microstation or AutoCAD
  • Excellent technical skills
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Eagerness to lead and share knowledge with and mentor less experienced staff
  • Proven ability to develop and leverage business relationships in the Colorado Market
  • Ability to build and professionally develop a multi-disciplinary team
