About the role

  • Gather and document business and technical requirements to define project scope, cost, and timeline
  • Act as a subject matter expert ensuring technical feasibility and alignment with business goals
  • Facilitate the meetings and agenda for development projects
  • Oversee software development cycles, setting clear milestones, deliverables, and deadlines
  • Assess development workloads to allocate resources efficiently and set realistic expectations
  • Ensure technical documentation, code reviews, and adherence to software development best practices
  • Identify risks and bottlenecks in the development process, proactively addressing them to ensure smooth project delivery
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to define technical solutions that align with business needs
  • Work with various stakeholders, including product owners, account managers and clients, to understand needs and incorporate them into the product strategy
  • Implementing quality control measures to ensure software meets technical standards
  • Monitor project progress, providing status updates to stakeholders and adjusting plans as necessary
  • Define and prioritize technical stories in the product backlog, balancing business needs with technical constraints and long-term sustainability
  • Facilitate Agile methodologies, including sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Technical Project Manager or Software Development Manager and similar role in software development
  • Strong understanding of full-stack development, including both frontend and backend technologies
  • Strong understanding of programming languages, software development methodologies (Agile, Waterfall), and relevant technical architecture
  • Experience in project management methodologies such as Agile and Scrum
  • Ability to assess development efforts, define realistic timelines, and allocate resources effectively
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate complex technical details into business-friendly language
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and mitigate risks early
  • Familiarity with software development best practices, including version control, CI/CD pipelines, and code review processes
  • Previous experience as a senior full stack developer is highly preferred
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams, including software engineers, designers, and product managers
  • Proficiency in project management tools such as Jira
