About the role
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including general ledger entries, accounts payable/receivable, and bank reconciliations.
- Help prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards.
- Support payroll processing, employee reimbursements, and related tax filings.
- Participate in budgeting and forecasting activities, including variance analysis and cash flow tracking.
- Support external audits and tax preparations by ensuring all supporting documentation is complete and accurate.
- Develop and implement accounting policies and internal controls to improve financial operations.
- Assist leadership in financial decision-making by providing timely insights and analysis.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and other relevant regulatory requirements.
Requirements
- CPA certification required (active or inactive license accepted, depending on jurisdiction).
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 5+ years of bookkeeping and accounting experience, preferably in SaaS and Health-tech industries.
- Strong understanding of US GAAP, tax compliance, and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
- Proficiency with Excel and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, NetSuite).
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and maintain confidentiality.
