Medical Director II
Woven Health CollectiveMedical Director leading scientific communication projects at Woven Health Collective. Overseeing development of medical content across various therapeutic areas with client-facing responsibilities.
About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Develop medical communications projects as appropriate to assigned client(s), including Slide decks, advisory board materials, slide presentations, and other promotional materials, across multiple clients/ therapeutic areas
- Prepare scientific content for peer-reviewed journals, congress presentations, and related publications deliverables
- Publication planning
- Preparation of content for client review committees
- KOL and congress identification
- Additional content development, as directed
- Literature searches
- Develop, attend, and report on advisory programs and conference programs
- Provide onsite support at advisory programs, key client meetings, congresses, or other events
- Ensure all deliverables are scientifically rigorous, aligned with client strategy, and compliant with ethical and regulatory standards
- Ensure all written materials are compliant with GPP-2022 guidelines and client internal policies
- Serve as the scientific lead for assigned accounts
- Understand the competitive landscape, key health care providers and their roles as stakeholders
- Assist in the development of overall strategic direction and planning for assigned accounts
- Coordinate with senior scientific staff
- Attend internal and external meetings, and update content as appropriate
- Interact with and provide scientific support to clients, as directed
- Direct projects/content development for junior scientific staff
- Potential to manage direct reports
- Support new business efforts, as directed
- Travel required
Requirements
What you’ll need- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, including presentation skills
- Ability to understand complex scientific and medical literature
- Ability to assist in the development of overall strategy for clients
- Direct client and HCP interaction experience
- Ability to develop clear, concise, and consistent content
- Ability to relate to a wide variety of audiences and be able to simplify abstract ideas for others
- Strong familiarity with GPP-2022, ICMJE, and ethical/regulatory requirements for scientific publishing
- Experience developing medical communications materials
- Works effectively within a team, including both internal and external partners
- Possess ability to work directly with clients, leading discussions, and identifying solutions to their business needs
- Microsoft Office proficiency (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and Outlook)
- Master of Science, PhD, PharmD, or equivalent
- Minimum of 5 years medical writing experience, preferably in a health care marketing or communications agency internship, preceptorship or equivalent
- Ability to execute on direction with clarity, transparency, efficiency, and quality
- Intelligent, quick, forward and strategic thinking
- Organized, with the ability to establish priorities, show initiative, effectively manage time, and produce results
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Uses judgement to take a proactive solutions-oriented approach into all tasks
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
