About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Maintain accurate fixed asset records, including acquisitions, disposals, transfers, and depreciation activity in accordance with Company policies and IFRS accounting guidelines
- Calculate and record depreciation for fixed assets in accordance with Company policies and accounting standards
- Perform routine reconciliations of fixed asset accounts to support accuracy and completeness
- Prepare fixed asset reports and schedules for management, auditors, and internal stakeholders
- Support compliance with accounting standards, tax requirements, and Company policies related to fixed assets
- Prepare ad-hoc reports and analysis to support management review of capital spending and fixed asset activity
- Identify opportunities to improve fixed asset processes and data accuracy
- Assist with periodic physical audits of fixed assets to verify existence, condition, and location
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelors Degree in Business, Accounting or Finance
- Minimum of 3-5 years related finance or accounting experience
- Working knowledge of accounting principles, asset management, and financial reporting
- Knowledge of depreciation methods and IFRS fixed asset accounting standards
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience with Oracle or similar financial systems
- Attention to detail and accuracy, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Ability to gather, organize, and analyze financial information to support accurate reporting and decision making
- Ability to communicate effectively with finance team members, business partners, and internal stakeholders regarding fixed asset activity and reporting needs
