About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Equip aircraft cabins with rugs, linens, blankets, equipment, and supplies according to checklist specifications
  • Carry supplies weighing up to 50 lbs onto aircraft
  • Check, clean, sort, count, salvage, and store equipment
  • Assemble cabin service kits
  • Operate vacuum cleaners and mechanized cleaning equipment
  • Check supply deliveries against requisitions and identify discrepancies
  • Clean aircraft interiors by hand and powered equipment using cleaning fluids and materials
  • Complete aircraft cleaning bills of work and other required forms
  • Stock and clean vehicles used in the cleaning function
  • Stock and clean cabin service make-up rooms
  • Maintain cabin service kits and cleaning equipment
  • Dispose of trash, rubbish, and job-related waste
  • Comply with site security procedures and report concerns

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High school diploma, GED or equivalent
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Ability to work rotating shifts, including weekends, holidays, and days off
  • Ability to read, write, fluently speak and understand English
  • Must join the Transport Workers Union and pay union dues
  • Previous cleaning services experience preferred
  • Previous aviation industry experience preferred
  • Ability to work in variable weather and environmental conditions, including jet engine fumes, vehicle emissions, dust, and jet engine noise
  • Ability to lift refuse containers and carry supplies weighing up to 50 lbs
  • Ability to reach, bend, and twist in confined spaces
  • Ability to judge distances
  • Ability to report to work on time when scheduled
