About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Perform computer data entry
  • Prepare all flight documents
  • Interface with U.S. Customs
  • Prepare import and export documentation
  • Accept and distribute cargo according to applicable air carrier and DOT regulations
  • Compile customer lists for sales leads
  • Solicit orders and speak with customers to complete sales
  • Quote prices and terms and prepare sales contracts
  • Estimate customer delivery dates based on company delivery schedules
  • Move cargo up to 70 lbs.
  • Comply with WFS site security procedures
  • Monitor staff, security contractors, and visitors’ activities and report security breaches, suspicious occurrences, or non-compliance
  • Drive cargo handling equipment
  • Retrieve import and export documents to and from aircraft
  • Report to work regularly and on time

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
  • Must be at least 18 years of age if the position requires driving cargo handling equipment
  • Valid driver's license
  • Port Authority or Airport Authority permit, if applicable, to use the ramp-side service road
  • Must join the AMPW union and pay union dues under the collective bargaining agreement
  • Ability to drive all cargo handling equipment
  • Ability to learn PC skills and apply knowledge
  • Ability to read, write, fluently speak, and understand English
  • Ability to work rotating shifts, including weekends, holidays, and days off
  • Ability to lift up to 70 lbs.
  • Ability to handle the stress of a fast-paced eight-hour shift
