About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Promote Safety and Health Program - to prevent injuries and illnesses from work related causes, and to minimize losses of material resources and interruptions from accidental occurrences.
  • Safety & Health Awareness: Distribute read and signs, bulletins and posters for location and discuss new procedures with station personnel.
  • Accident Prevention: Perform safety audits on warehouse and ramp operations and provide feedback to management.
  • Safety Monitoring: Attend safety committee meetings and provide feedback to management.
  • Review station audits, review station incidents/accidents/injuries, review station statistics to determine areas of improvement, stimulate hourly personnel involvement in the safety culture, and distribute safety awards as established in company guidelines, accident/Incident Reporting, Investigation, & Analysis, assist with all incident/accident/injury reports.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • HS Diploma, GED or Equivalent.
  • Must have a valid driver's license.
  • Minimum typing speed of 30 WPM.
  • Reports to work on a regular and timely basis.
  • Ability to read, write, fluently speak and understand the English language.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age if position requires driving cargo handling equipment.
