About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

The work of the Agent Security is to monitor the ingress, movement, and egress of persons requiring access to Company facilities, including the controlled airport areas, and including, but not limited to, employees, truckers, sales people, etc.
May be required to maintain a log of cargo entering and leaving the facility, and subject to compliance with TSA regulations;
to comply with set guidelines outlining the escort and/or identification of personally owned vehicles within the secured areas;
to visually monitor activity within the controlled areas and follow set guidelines pertaining to the challenge of an unauthorized individual within the controlled areas;
to be aware of and able to act upon emergency situations pertaining to a breach of security as set by TSA/airport regulations.
May be assigned to perform screening of cargo in accordance with TSA regulations, and maintain Sensitive Security Information (SSI) per established procedures.

Requirements

What you’ll need

HS Diploma, GED or Equivalent.
Must be at least 18 years of age.
Strong oral communication skills.
Public contact experience preferred.
Must undergo initial and recurrent training.
Ability to read, write, fluently speak and understand the English language.
Ability to work rotating shifts including weekends (i.e., Friday, Saturday, and Sunday), holidays and days off.
