About the role

  • Owning the designing and planning test strategies for projects and applications
  • Undertaking planning activities for agile deliveries
  • Working alongside the team to progress automation backlog items
  • Supporting and maintaining the test automation framework with respect to implementation of new features, existing features and bug fixes
  • Analyzing requirements and user stories to derive automated test cases
  • Executing tests thoroughly to ensure software quality, running automated tests and identifying defects
  • Actively contributing to process improvement initiatives and enhancements to current procedures including recommending quality improvements
  • Working with project teams to resolve any issues in a timely manner whilst keeping relevant stakeholders informed of progress and challenges
  • Communicating quality information throughout the organization
  • Supporting development and delivery of training in quality matters
  • Handling other related duties assigned as needed

Requirements

  • 4+ years experience in QA test automation
  • Proficiency in C# and experience testing microservices-based architectures using Specflow and/or Reqnroll
  • Experience within an agile development environment
  • Hands-on experience with API and Microservices testing
  • Knowledge of software testing procedures and be skilled in test planning, test estimation, prioritization and risk-based testing
  • Experience with automation tools such as Selenium, ReadyAPI, BrowserStack, or similar
  • Practical experience with API testing, Postman, Swagger, and contract testing tools
  • Experience with DevOps tools and practices (Docker, Kubernetes, Jenkins, Git, CI/CD pipelines)
  • Experience with performance testing tools like JMeter, Gatling, or Locust
  • Experience with data analytics and monitoring tools (Splunk)
  • Proficiency in quality management methods, tools and technologies
  • Experience of mentoring and coaching junior members of the team
  • It’s a bonus if you have Payments industry experience
  • Experience with public cloud platforms (AWS, OpenShift)
  • Experience with Github CoPilot
