About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Support the District Coordinator in implementing project activities and achieving project objectives.
- Work closely with WVI’s implementing partners to adhere to Humanitarian standards and principles.
- Facilitate community-level activities related to polio eradication, focusing on community engagement and support to immunization and surveillance activities.
- Document lessons learned and assist in microplanning for various activities.
- Ensure compliance with donor requirements and support inventory management for project materials.
- Assist in coaching community health workers and support training sessions.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences, Community Development, Public Health, Education, Environment, or other relevant fields.
- Diploma graduates with strong field experience may also be considered.
- Minimum 2–3 years of experience working in community-based programs, NGO/INGO projects, or humanitarian/development initiatives.
- Proven experience in community facilitation, field implementation, training delivery, and coordination with local stakeholders.
- Prior experience in monitoring activities, data collection, and reporting is preferred.
- Ability to move freely, both indoors and outdoors, to conduct site visits, meetings, and other activities related to the job responsibilities.
- Awareness and commitment to maintaining a healthy work-life balance, considering the demanding nature of travel and fieldwork.
- Thorough understanding of community engagement programs.
- Skilled in using MS Teams, Zoom, e-mail and other applications.
- Strong analytical, interpersonal, and facilitation abilities.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite.
