About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Conduct home visits to identify pregnant and breastfeeding women and children under five
- Perform community screening for acute malnutrition
- Ensure prompt referral of children with malnutrition
- Follow up on referred children
- Train and support mother leaders and support groups
- Lead community awareness sessions on breastfeeding
- Participate in vaccination campaigns and other public health activities
- Identify and promptly report cases of priority diseases
- Collect, compile, and transmit health and nutrition data
- Participate in community meetings and project planning sessions
- Support community accountability mechanisms
- Ensure compliance with child protection policies
Requirements
What you’ll need- NS2 level or completed secondary education
- Training in community health, nutrition, social work, or a related field
- Minimum of 2 to 3 years of experience in community health or nutrition activities
- Experience in malnutrition screening using MUAC
- Experience in community mobilization and sensitization
- Strong data collection and reporting skills
- Comfortable using smartphones and digital data collection tools
