About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Conduct home visits to identify pregnant and breastfeeding women and children under five
  • Perform community screening for acute malnutrition
  • Ensure prompt referral of children with malnutrition
  • Follow up on referred children
  • Train and support mother leaders and support groups
  • Lead community awareness sessions on breastfeeding
  • Participate in vaccination campaigns and other public health activities
  • Identify and promptly report cases of priority diseases
  • Collect, compile, and transmit health and nutrition data
  • Participate in community meetings and project planning sessions
  • Support community accountability mechanisms
  • Ensure compliance with child protection policies

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • NS2 level or completed secondary education
  • Training in community health, nutrition, social work, or a related field
  • Minimum of 2 to 3 years of experience in community health or nutrition activities
  • Experience in malnutrition screening using MUAC
  • Experience in community mobilization and sensitization
  • Strong data collection and reporting skills
  • Comfortable using smartphones and digital data collection tools
