About the role
- Own and lead World Vision New Zealand’s social media strategy and execution
- Lead social media strategy and performance across World Vision New Zealand Masterbrand and the World Vision 40 Hour Challenge
- Own content planning and ideation, ensuring alignment with brand and audience objectives
- Brief and collaborate with Marketing Production and agency partners to deliver high-quality social assets
- Create and publish content directly, particularly for reactive, time-sensitive opportunities
- Build and manage engaged social communities, enhancing user-generated and influencer content
- Protect and strengthen World Vision’s reputation on social media, managing risk and supporting rapid response communications
Requirements
- 3–5 years’ experience leading social media strategy and execution
- Proven success managing branded social channels and driving measurable engagement
- Strong storytelling skills, including short-form video and platform-native content
- Experience using analytics, content management, and social advertising tools
- Experience in content creation tools such as Capcut and Canva
- High attention to detail and a strong instinct for brand voice and tone
- Confidence working cross-functionally and influencing outcomes
- An interest in mission-driven work and using social media for good
- Current eligibility to work in New Zealand.
