About the role

  • Own and lead World Vision New Zealand’s social media strategy and execution
  • Lead social media strategy and performance across World Vision New Zealand Masterbrand and the World Vision 40 Hour Challenge
  • Own content planning and ideation, ensuring alignment with brand and audience objectives
  • Brief and collaborate with Marketing Production and agency partners to deliver high-quality social assets
  • Create and publish content directly, particularly for reactive, time-sensitive opportunities
  • Build and manage engaged social communities, enhancing user-generated and influencer content
  • Protect and strengthen World Vision’s reputation on social media, managing risk and supporting rapid response communications

Requirements

  • 3–5 years’ experience leading social media strategy and execution
  • Proven success managing branded social channels and driving measurable engagement
  • Strong storytelling skills, including short-form video and platform-native content
  • Experience using analytics, content management, and social advertising tools
  • Experience in content creation tools such as Capcut and Canva
  • High attention to detail and a strong instinct for brand voice and tone
  • Confidence working cross-functionally and influencing outcomes
  • An interest in mission-driven work and using social media for good
  • Current eligibility to work in New Zealand.
