About the role
- Provide support in financial management and follow-up of a multi-country project.
- Preparing and submitting monthly accounts for the FSSP to the Financial Analyst as per corporate month end closing deadlines.
- Preparing monthly invoices of reimbursable expenses and submitting to FA for inclusion in the monthly invoice to be submitted by WUSC Peru to GAC.
- Maintaining accurate records and supporting documents, including invoices and timesheets for all invoices submitted to GAC for reimbursement.
- Provide the Project Manager with the necessary information for the preparation of annual, semi-annual, or final financial reports.
- Providing financial advice related to Peruvian laws and regulations, banking institutions, the reasonableness of estimated expenses for products or services in Peru, working in the country.
Requirements
- A minimum of eight( 8) years of experience in financial management and monitoring, preferably in the context of international development.
- Prior experience working with International Development Assistance, preferably in Peru or Bolivia;
- Proven track record of managing international development projects with a minimum annual budget of 1 million dollars CAD;
- Demonstrated experience in managing and monitoring project related expenditures according to approved project budget and ensure financial records are maintained in an accurate and timely manner;
- Proven experience in preparing and reviewing financial reports;
- Experience in managing payments to different suppliers in a timely manner;
- Knowledge of payroll and social benefits payment processes.
- Proven experience working with different stakeholders (Headquarters, donors, suppliers, etc.) to ensure correct and timely budget execution;
- Demonstrated experience in developing and maintaining record keeping and filing system.
- Good analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills;
- Highly proficient in the use of Microsoft Office and Google software including Gmail, calendar, drive, spreadsheet, word processing, and presentation software.
- Advance knowledge of Excel is essential.
- Experience in the management of sophisticated accounting software (SAGE50).
- Professional proficiency in Spanish and English/French (oral, reading, writing).
