Key responsibilities & impact

Strengthens the safety, stability, and resilience of refugee and immigrant families
Provides culturally responsive education, Know Your Rights training, and community workshops
Equips families with tools to navigate interactions with immigration enforcement
Prepares households for potential emergencies, including family member detention
Connects participants to trusted legal and social services
Fosters belonging and reduces fear among participants
Empowers participants to make informed decisions protecting their families and rights
Does not provide legal advice

Requirements

What you’ll need

Mature and personal Christian faith
Committed to the mission, vision, and values of World Relief
Desire to serve and empower the Church to impact vulnerable communities
Experience in community outreach, education, social services, or related fields
Lived experience or deep familiarity with refugee and immigrant communities
Strong interpersonal and cross cultural communication skills
Ability to facilitate workshops and engage diverse audiences
Commitment to trauma informed, strengths based, and culturally responsive practices
Proficiency in English and at least one additional language commonly spoken by participants
Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
Proactive, systematic thinker
Effective task manager
Flexibility and ability to change plans as needed
Professionalism and a commitment to the highest ethical standards
