Senior Energy Consultant
World KinectSenior Energy Consultant helping clients in energy procurement and advisory services. Building client relationships and identifying cost-saving opportunities in energy markets.
About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Serve as a trusted advisor to commercial and industrial energy customers.
- Build and maintain long-term client relationships while identifying opportunities to expand services.
- Manage client accounts through the full lifecycle, including contract renewals, procurement planning, and ongoing strategic discussions.
- Conduct client reviews and communicate changing market conditions, pricing trends, and regulatory developments.
- Advise clients on electricity and natural gas procurement strategies.
- Evaluate supplier proposals and procurement options to help clients make informed purchasing decisions.
- Support and manage competitive RFP processes for power and natural gas supply agreements.
- Educate clients on market drivers, capacity costs, transmission charges, and pricing risks.
- Assist customers with energy management initiatives, conservation efforts, demand response participation, curtailment programs, and other cost-reduction opportunities.
- Generate new business opportunities through referrals, existing client relationships, chambers of commerce, industry associations, affinity partners, networking, and community engagement.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Proven experience in consultative sales, business development, account management, client advisory services, financial services, insurance brokerage, energy sales, energy consulting, or a related customer-facing profession.
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain long-term professional relationships.
- Strong presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to understand and explain complex information to business decision-makers.
- Self-motivated and comfortable working independently in a remote environment.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Willingness to travel locally for client meetings, networking events, chamber activities, industry conferences, and partner engagements.
