Key responsibilities & impact
  • The Deputy Chief of Staff serves as the strategic deputy and trusted partner to the Chief Executive Officer and Chief of Staff.
  • Acting as an extension of the CEO's Office, this executive operates in a generalist capacity, leading special projects, driving strategic initiatives, coordinating cross-functional efforts, and ensuring enterprise priorities are executed effectively.
  • Rather than owning a single business function, the Deputy Chief of Staff is deployed wherever executive leadership requires additional capacity, analysis, coordination, or execution.
  • The role serves as the CEO Office's right hand, helping transform strategic priorities into measurable results.
  • Executive priorities and strategic initiatives are delivered on time and with high quality.
  • Cross-functional initiatives are coordinated effectively with minimal bottlenecks.
  • Executive commitments are tracked and completed with strong follow-through.
  • Operational processes and executive reporting are continuously improved.
  • The CEO and Chief of Staff can rely on you as a trusted strategic partner who exercises sound judgment and discretion.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree preferred.
  • 8–15 years of leadership experience in operations, consulting, strategy, finance, program management, military leadership, or similar.
  • Experience supporting C-suite executives or leading enterprise initiatives.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Executive presence and ability to influence without direct authority.
  • High level of discretion and confidentiality.
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office; project management tools preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to remain calm, composed, and effective in fast-paced, high-pressure environments while balancing multiple competing priorities and executive deadlines.
  • Proven ability to rapidly adapt to changing business needs, shifting priorities, and evolving strategic direction without compromising execution or quality.
  • Experience serving as a trusted advisor or strategic resource to executive leadership, exercising sound judgment, discretion, and independent decision-making.
  • Exceptional organizational and prioritization skills with the ability to manage multiple complex initiatives simultaneously while maintaining meticulous attention to detail.

  • Compensation includes a base salary of $150,000 (SVP) or $200,000 (Director), plus incentive compensation eligibility (equity and deferred cash bonus), based on level and company policy.
  • Benefits include medical, dental, vision, life, and disability coverage; a 401(k) with company match; and paid holidays and paid time off (PTO).
  • Work Environment: This is a remote role with occasional travel.
