About the role
- Sales Strategy & Growth: Develop and execute strategies to drive immediate growth in monthly funding volume and revenue through both **Direct** and **Indirect** sales channels.
- Team Leadership: Manage, coach, and develop the sales team to transition from “order takers” to “proactive closers,” ensuring they hit KPIs and revenue goals.
- Lead Generation & Optimization: Oversee the creation and refinement of lead generation strategies (inbound & outbound) to ensure a consistent flow of high-quality leads.
- Broker & ISO Network Development: Build, expand, and manage a robust network of ISO brokers, ensuring strong partnerships and high-volume lead generation.
- Risk Management & Deal Structuring: Lead the risk assessment and structuring of deals, ensuring proper stacking analysis, financial evaluation, and underwriting practices.
- Negotiation & Deal Closure: Manage and lead negotiations, ensuring successful deal closures, especially in complex or challenging situations.
- Sales Data & Reporting: Monitor sales performance data, track KPIs, and analyze trends to refine strategies and optimize team results.
- Process Improvement & Scalability: Identify and implement process improvements to streamline sales workflows, improve efficiency, and handle increased deal volume.
- Cross-Department Coordination: Collaborate with underwriting, funding, and operations teams to ensure smooth execution of deals and support team goals.
- Cultural Leadership: Foster a high-energy, competitive, and results-driven culture within the team while maintaining ethical and professional standards.
Requirements
- Formal Education: A Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Business Administration, or Economics is preferred, though substantive funding results in this sector often take precedence.
- Required Experience: A minimum of 5+ years of direct experience in MCA lending or the Alternative Business Finance sphere.
- At least 2+ years of proven experience leading a team of sales representatives, such as Account Executives or ISO Managers.
- You should bring a track record of managing a growing "book of business" with significant monthly funding volumes.
- Experience across both "Direct" (in-house leads) and "Indirect" (ISO/Broker) channels is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated expertise in lead generation and navigating broker/direct sales environments.
- A history of successfully managing sales targets and team KPIs is essential.
- Preferred Background / Industry Experience
- MCA Expertise
- In-depth knowledge of lending products, pricing strategies, risk assessment, and fundamental underwriting principles
- Dynamic sales leadership with a collaborative "player-coach" approach
- Proven experience in working with ISO/broker networks and directly sourcing merchants
- Outstanding skills in negotiation, communication, and relationship development
- Ability to excel in a fast-paced, high-volume work environment
- Technical Skills Required
- Expertise in financial products and structuring deals
- Proficient in lead generation systems, including both inbound and outbound strategies
- Management of ISO/broker channels
- Fundamentals of underwriting, including bank statement analysis, revenue trends, and NSF pattern recognition
- Skilled in risk assessment and stacking analysis
