About the role

  • Provide high-quality, legally sound employment law advice to a portfolio of clients
  • Acting as a trusted advisor, supporting clients to make informed commercial decisions
  • Building and maintaining strong, long-term client relationships
  • Advising on settlement discussions, early conciliation and complex employee relations matters
  • Supporting on litigation and more complex advisory work where required
  • Delivering client training and contributing to internal knowledge sharing
  • Mentoring and supporting trainees and junior advisors within your team

Requirements

  • Typically 3–4+ years’ PQE in employment law, gained within private practice or an advisory environment
  • Strong technical knowledge of employment law and employee relations
  • The ability to deliver clear, pragmatic and commercially focused advice
  • Experience managing client relationships and acting as a trusted advisor
  • Confidence in handling more complex and sensitive matters
  • A collaborative approach, with an interest in mentoring and developing others
  • An appreciation for working within a fixed-fee, client-focused environment, where success is measured by quality of advice and client outcomes rather than billable hours
  • Experience working with education sector clients or mid-market organisations would be advantageous, though not essential.
