About the role
- Provide high-quality, legally sound employment law advice to a portfolio of clients
- Acting as a trusted advisor, supporting clients to make informed commercial decisions
- Building and maintaining strong, long-term client relationships
- Advising on settlement discussions, early conciliation and complex employee relations matters
- Supporting on litigation and more complex advisory work where required
- Delivering client training and contributing to internal knowledge sharing
- Mentoring and supporting trainees and junior advisors within your team
Requirements
- Typically 3–4+ years’ PQE in employment law, gained within private practice or an advisory environment
- Strong technical knowledge of employment law and employee relations
- The ability to deliver clear, pragmatic and commercially focused advice
- Experience managing client relationships and acting as a trusted advisor
- Confidence in handling more complex and sensitive matters
- A collaborative approach, with an interest in mentoring and developing others
- An appreciation for working within a fixed-fee, client-focused environment, where success is measured by quality of advice and client outcomes rather than billable hours
- Experience working with education sector clients or mid-market organisations would be advantageous, though not essential.
