About the role

  • Execute pre-sales framework to engage customers, prospects, and partners via virtual and onsite meetings, drive the discovery process, lead product demonstrations, and identify areas where Workiva solutions align to address customer/prospect needs
  • Demonstrate expertise across all of Workiva’s domain areas - Financial Reporting, GRC, and Sustainability Reporting - developing working knowledge of industries, departments, and use cases where Workiva can have an impact
  • Translate the specific needs of the Public Sector into Workiva solutions
  • Assist sales in developing account plans in support of Workiva strategies and objectives
  • Conduct process assessments with customers, build Proof of Concepts to validate requirements, build and present partner specific business cases
  • Ensure customer success by working with implementation partners and Workiva Client Services team for smooth on-boarding and long term success
  • Assist in developing new use-cases or by using existing templates providing proof of our solution's impact and value proposition
  • Provide mentorship, cross-domain coaching, and training to peers to drive team-wide success.
  • Work with Sales, Product Marketing, Client Services, Scoping, and Customer Success to achieve team and company goals

Requirements

  • Requires a minimum of 6 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree; or 4 years and a Master’s degree; or 2 years and a PhD
  • Financial Reporting or GRC knowledge within Federal, States, Local, Healthcare, etc. industries is valuable in this role.
  • Experience in government accounting / financial reporting, with a strong emphasis on preparing, consolidating and analyzing complex financial statements and hands on experience applying GASB, FASAB, and FASB standards
  • Solid understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) as applied to entity-specific reporting requirements, with the ability to interpret, operationalize, and clearly explain complex accounting guidance for sector-specific reporting and compliance
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Government Financial Manager (CGFM) certifications preferred
  • Excellent verbal, written, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Self-motivated with strong propensity for action, results and continuous improvement
  • Experience building processes from the ground up, including design, proposal, and cross-functional alignment
  • Demonstrates proactive collaboration and feedback to product management teams to capture new customer requirements and enhancements, may require guidance as needed
  • Hands on technical experience with SaaS solutions, cloud technologies, and architectures preferred
  • Experience with high level technical aspects of connectivity and integration (API)
  • Experience with ERP, GRC, GL, FP&A, or Analytics & Reporting solutions and their related technology platforms.

  • On Target Earnings (OTE) range in the US: 156,000.00 - 253,000.00 USD Annual
