About the role

  • Responsible for the entire lifecycle of our Java-based applications — from development and deployment to maintenance in the production environment.
  • Design, implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate build, test and release processes.
  • Containerize and orchestrate Java applications using Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Ensure scalable deployment of applications on cloud and on-premises infrastructures (e.g. AWS, GCP, Azure).
  • Implement and monitor monitoring and logging solutions (e.g. Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack) to track system performance and application metrics.
  • Performance tune Java backend services to ensure efficient resource usage and low latency.
  • Collaborate with development teams to streamline and accelerate the transition of code into production-ready environments.
  • Ensure deployment stability and security through automated tests, security checks and rollback mechanisms.

Requirements

  • Several years of experience as a Java developer with solid knowledge in building microservices and distributed systems.
  • Proficiency in DevOps practices and experience automating infrastructure and application deployments.
  • Strong experience with build tools such as Maven or Gradle.
  • Confident use of CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or Travis CI.
  • Experience with container technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Knowledge of cloud infrastructures (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform or Ansible.
  • An eye for security and performance optimization in the deployment process.
  • Strong communication and team skills to work effectively with developers, QA and operations teams.
