About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Develop and maintain WordPress web pages, templates, and reusable components to support scalable and maintainable site experiences.
- Translate UX designs and requirements into responsive, high‑quality front‑end code using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Ensure consistency, scalability, and performance across all pages and user journeys by following design systems and coding standards.
- Optimize page speed, load times, and cross‑device compatibility to deliver reliable experiences across browsers and devices.
- Support implementation of analytics tracking, tagging, and data layer requirements to enable accurate reporting and measurement.
- Maintain and update content and page structures within the CMS, ensuring accuracy, accessibility, and ease of ongoing content management.
- Perform front‑end testing and QA to validate functionality, responsiveness, accessibility, tracking accuracy, and performance prior to release.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or related field, preferred
- 4-7 years experience in front-end or web development.
- Strong proficiency in HTML, CSS, Javascript
- Hands-on experience with WordPress (theme customization, page builders, CMS management)
- Experience building responsive, mobile‑first websites that function consistently across devices and screen sizes.
- Understanding of web performance optimization and SEO best practices to support fast, discoverable websites.
- Familiarity with analytics tracking concepts, including GA4, tagging, and data layer concepts.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to troubleshoot and resolve front‑end issues.
- Solid skills in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript for building responsive, user‑friendly interfaces.
- Experience working with WordPress, including page templates, components, and content updates.
- Basic understanding of accessibility standards (WCAG) and inclusive design principles.
- Ability to optimize pages for cross‑browser and cross‑device compatibility.
- Comfortable working with designs and requirements provided by UX or design teams.
- Ability to adapt to new tools, technologies, and standards as the platform evolves.
- Strong collaboration skills, working effectively with developers, designers, and stakeholders.
