About the role
- Enable data-driven strategic and operational decision making through extracting actionable insights from large datasets
- Perform statistical and advanced analytics to uncover trends and patterns
- Present findings through clear visualisations and reports
- Investigation and analysis of data issues related to quality, lineage, controls, and authoritative source identification
- Document data sources, methodologies, and quality findings with recommendations for improvement
- Design and build data pipelines to automate data movement and processing
- Apply advanced analytical techniques to large datasets to uncover trends and correlations
- Develop validated logical data models and translate insights into actionable business recommendations
- Design and create interactive dashboards and visual reports using applicable tools and automate reporting processes for regular and ad-hoc stakeholder needs
- Collaborate closely with other functions/business divisions and engage in complex analysis of data from multiple sources of information.
- Consult on complex issues; providing advice to People Leaders to support the resolution of escalated issues.
Requirements
- Practical experience and knowledge of data analysis/data modelling – with SQL/Python/other
- Practical experience working with SQL and relational databases
- Critical mind-set, and ability to challenge ideas to find the most appropriate solution
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, particularly with regard to describing complex programming to non-technical audiences
- Proven ability to manage multiple tasks, balancing conflicting priorities
- Experience of working in an Audit team / Audit function is desirable
- Experience with advanced data science/machine learning is a plus
- Experience with AWS/Alteryx technologies is an advantage
- Proven ability to quickly learn emerging data analytics technologies and use them on the job
- Proven ability of working through challenging problems and working independently to develop solutions to address business needs
- Proven ability to interact with stakeholders.
