About the role
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to identify and translate their needs into detailed requirements for technical solutions.
- Analyze existing business processes and systems to pinpoint areas for improvement and optimization.
- Conduct stakeholder interviews, workshops, and surveys to gather requirements and elicit business needs.
- Document business requirements, use cases, and functional specifications clearly and concisely.
- Develop and maintain business process models, flowcharts, and diagrams to illustrate system interactions and data flows.
- Work closely with development teams to ensure that technical solutions are aligned with business requirements and delivered on time and within budget.
- Actively participate in system testing, user acceptance testing (UAT), and quality assurance (QA) activities to ensure solutions meet both functional and non-functional requirements.
- Proactively identify risks and issues, developing ready strategies to mitigate them promptly.
Requirements
- Experience in describing APIs and processes (e.g. sequence diagrams, JSON).
- Proven experience as a Business Systems Analyst or in a similar role, with a strong grasp of business processes and systems.
- Proficiency in business analysis techniques, including requirements gathering, process modeling, and data analysis.
- Hands-on experience with modeling notations (UML, BPMN) and flowcharting to translate business requirements into system specifications.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a knack for analyzing complex issues and proposing effective solutions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective interaction with stakeholders at all organizational levels.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Knowledge of software development methodologies such as Agile or Waterfall is a plus.
- Hands-on experience with SQL and relational databases.
- Hands-on data modeling to accelerate collaboration with Data/BI.
- Experience with Databricks and analytical databases (e.g., ClickHouse) will be considered an advantage.
- Familiarity with BI tools (Power BI/Tableau/Looker) and backlog systems (Jira/Confluence).
