About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead and mentor a team of trade compliance professionals for the Industrial Segment
- Manage day-to-day compliance operations for the Industrial Segment, such as export and import classification, export authorizations, import clearance support, technology control plans, sanctions/due diligence issues, training delivery, and reviews of import/export contract terms
- Collaborate with policy owners to develop, execute and implement trade regulatory strategies that ensure the organization complies with all relevant laws and regulations
- Oversee the execution of trade compliance policy and support the creation, maintenance, and enforcement of trade compliance procedures to mitigate regulatory risks
- Lead regular compliance monitoring and auditing activities of the business segment to identify and address potential regulatory issues
- Communicate regulatory requirements and compliance status to senior management and external stakeholders effectively
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree required; J.D., advanced degree, or relevant certification (e.g. Licensed Customs Broker, CCS, CES) strongly preferred
- 10+ years of global trade compliance experience in a global manufacturing environment
- Ability to travel up to 20%
