Day-to-day operations and management of a SCADA System and remote communications network.
Implementation and management of an innovative predictive maintenance management program.
Administration and implementation of all routine and capital repair and replacement projects.
Emergency response for process upsets, equipment failures, force majeure events, all alarm events etc.
Provision of requested / required operations and compliance reporting to regulatory agencies and municipality.
Management and oversight of a large Capital Improvement Plan.
Collaborate with engineers on future planning and ongoing construction administration.
Attend council meetings and present project update presentations.
Promote and develop staff members.
Review development plans and permits and attend pre-construction meetings.
Oversee a staff of 3-4 employees in daily operations and maintenance of the wastewater treatment facility.
Perform hands-on work and produce all required reports.
Coordinate the on-going daily operation of the utility system.
Requirements
Must possess a valid State of Florida Class B Wastewater Treatment Plant Operators license.
5 to 10 years’ experience in managing complex water and/or wastewater facilities.
Ability to make sound decisions in process control and follow instructions, as well as follow safety procedures.
Experience overseeing a budget of $1.5 million or more.
Experience overseeing operating and capital budgets.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Proven track record with regulators.
Previous management experience is not required but preferred.
Applicant must possess a valid Driver’s License and a good driving record.
Must be able to lift or move up to 40 pounds on a regular basis.
Availability for standby duty and ability to be on-call, working evenings, weekends and holidays as needed.
Successful candidates will be required to complete a background check, pre-placement physical and drug screen before employment.
